Ten Stones Coming to RestElizabeth McTernan
00:00 / 20:21

These are the layered sounds of an assembly of

ten stones being set in motion by hands and

swaying back and forth until they come to rest.

Each stone has its own unique frequency of motion

which slowly dissipates.

Sounds captured with two contact microphones

attached to two stones.

Vibrations traveling through stone-matter

rather than the air.

These sounds were made to accompany the project

When in doubt, ask the stone / Im Zweifel, frag den Stein.
